Extreme Skydiving – My Next Adventure
Extreme Skydiving
Ever since high school, my group of friends and I have tried to find ways to outdo each other in any way that we could think of. Every summer since we graduated, we make plans to meet up and take part in a new adventure, which we plan during the winter months. After our rock climbing expedition in 2008, we thought that we could never out do ourselves again, but that was not the case at all. When our pal Jason suggested that we do extreme skydiving, we knew it was just the right type of adventure for us to go on this year. We let Jason take care of the details as we just waited out the last of the winter remnants.
Before we knew it, it was May again. All of us had been pushed to save up extra money so that we could go party after we hit ground from the extreme skydiving drop. Maybe we were all getting a bit ahead of ourselves here. I mean, none of us really knew what we had in store for us other than the extremity of the sport we were venturing to do. Terry was the first one to inquire as to our obligation to perform some of the types of extreme skydiving trickery that we were seeing in these DVD’s that his cousin had lent him. By the time that everyone in our group had the chance to see the videos, we were all astounded at our prior commitment to take part in this sport. Obviously, these people were experts, and not just a group of high school and college fraternity friends looking for something to cure the boredom of their dreadful jobs and families.
Now, we had a lot of things to think about. Were we really going to try to do any of the things that we had just witnessed? I mean, there was even clips in the video that parodied what we were thinking of doing on a novice level. So either we all lost our lives in doing something that we clearly not trained to do, or we forfeit our yearly trip for the first time ever since high school. After taking a vote, we decided to just do the adventure anyways, because there was no way on Earth that we were going to break our pact that we made at the age of 17. We just will watch the videos and take notes as to how to do extreme skydiving for when we finally get there ourselves.

How many parents get their kids inot stuff like snowboarding/skydiving to avoid drugs/joyriding?
Ie get them into extreme sports activities to pre empt them trying to prove themselves and get kicks from drugs, gangs, fights, joyriding etc.
Ie natural highs… plus culture into non violence and looking out for each other.
The point in extreme alterntive sports as opposed to say cricket.
Is these knes are seen as wilder, more thrilling, element of controlled danger, csn be specatular, brave etc.
ie not chicken, not boring say if others wna them to do say shoplifting, joyriding, drugs, booze…
Kid can say boring… ? look my dad takes me skydiving… takes much more guts, more fun and more exciting.
Plus as said unlike football suring, snowboarding etc is all about hippy like values of peace, environment and stuff like that dude
How many parents keep going on about the same thing over and over again?
Where can I do some extreme hobbies in Millersville PA?
Im interested in shooting guns, Hangliding, Skydiving, mountain climbing and and martial arts and anything else of that nature. I just moved to Pennsylvania and I dont really know where I can go to do those things as a beginner. Is there a boot camp that incorporates some or all of the above mentioned?

Women: What is your opinion for guys who do extreme sports?
Before saying anything I have to tell you that there are even women who do this kind of extreme sports. To be more specific, soon after I do some skydiving jumps I am planning to start BASE jumping. What would women believe about me once I tell them I am this kind of person? Would they go away just so they don`t feel guilty if I ever die in one of the jumps?
they R weird, so dont pay attention, they just gonna say U R insane, crazy, suicidal… if they like U, they like U, if not just let ‘em go… I always hear that I have a death wish, but I live another day, just to show ‘em how wrong they R…

To enjoy your extreme sport, is the risk element necessary?
1- If the risk of extreme sports like motocross and skydiving were somehow drastically reduced to the
point that they were about as dangerous as walking down the street, would they lose their appeal or
would the sensations you get from doing those sports be enough without the added adrenaline rush
that the fear of injury/death provides? (Answer for you personally).
2- What do you think would be a really fun extreme sport that does not yet exist?
1) Well i skateboard and i love the adrenaline rush i get from landing tricks! If it did become safer, i probably would still love it, my friends and i practically live at the skate park, and we have been going there almost everyday together since forever! so just the memories and scars is enough to keep me wanting more…
2) i think if they put some kind of rockets on unicycles and did like speed races or something, it be really cool, (LOL wow that’s random…)
Looking for fun/extreme things to do in Brussels or Amsterdam this summer?
I will be in the area with my bro this summer and wanted to find something extreme to do – skydiving, bungee jump, something like that.
Does anyone have any ideas or places to reccomend?
Ever tried recumbent riding?
http://www.ligfietswinkel.nl/index.php/en.html
I just checked the English version of the site and have seen that some information is still missing. You can try the Dutch version, http://www.ligfietswinkel.nl/index.php/nl/verhuur–tochten.html
The prices quoted are day rental prices, you will need to have a passport (or other acceptable ID) €150 which you will get back when you return the bike or a credit card, and your rental money.
The information below the prices is about a day tour they organize regularly, every first sunday of the month, you can join in with that if there is space, or you can just rent.
Phone or e-mail them for more information.
